How to get involved
You can get involved in the Awards in three (3) different ways;
As a participant
To participate, one requires a Record book that can be obtained from The Source of the Nile Award offices. No activity undertaken prior to receiving the record book will be considered.
On joining, the participants choose a level depending on the ages. They set their challenges within the 4 sections (5 for Gold) in consultation with the Award leader.
The adult instructor shares their knowledge, supervises and guides them in each activity. Individual progress, commitment and effort is assessed often by an instructor after a minimum period of time.
At the comletion of all the 4 sections, the participant is then ready for the Award. The Source of the Nile Award often organizes the Award ceremony
As a voulunteer
Managing the Award program requires alot of human resource which Source of the Nile Award cannot afford to maintain. As such, we welcome all peole who are willing to volunteer their time, expertise and resources for the good of the program. You can get involved as an Adult helper, Award leader or as a field personel

As a Sponsor
Source of the Nile Award is a charity and hence its activities are supported by donations, grants and proceeds from fundraising activities. You can get involved as a sponsor of a particular activity, Event or production of Award materials.
